Carol- I recently saw something very similar when I was in Bordeaux. It was at the old WW2 submarine base (built by Italians and utilized by the Germans in occupied Bordeaux). The exhibit was on Egypt and the submarine base was dark so initial wandering was a little challenging until your eyes got sensitized. My reaction was similar to yours. Fun if you wanted something unusual and different to do, but it didn’t knock my socks off!
Thanks for your comment, Barb. I'm sure this type of exhibit is popular in other countries as well as in Portugal. Makes interesting use of different structures especially in areas frequented by tourists. We're glad we went, but once is enough! -CW
The Water Museum, another place on our list of to-do's, but we just haven't gotten around to yet. Thanks for the reminder!
