Discover Casa do Visconde de Chanceleiros, a restored 18th-century manor in the terraced hills above Pinhão offering warm hospitality, vineyard views, and Douro charm.
we loved exploring the douro. one of our favorite places. happy you enjoyed your stay! missing portugal more every day - but perhaps things might be looking up on our side of the pond?
Thanks for your comment, Thalia. Yes, the food is locally sourced and varies daily depending on what is fresh. Our meals were delicious and nicely presented. -CW
What a beautiful place. The terrain, although a bit greener, reminds me of the hills here in western Idaho. I love the cost difference between dinner with and without wine. Wine pairings here in the US will set you back over a 100 bucks. Give Paul a hug for me and tell him the photos are lovely.
How lovely! The photos are wonderful! And this place looks just gorgeous! It sounds like you had a really wonderful time! So enjoyed this post! Thank you!
Spring and Fall. In September it is especially busy as it's harvest season, so if you plan on traveling there that month make travel plans well in advance. -CW
Beautiful photos! We love Pinhao. We used to sleep there in our van before it got so crowded. I stay at the Vintage sometimes. The food looks amazing!!! Obrigada!

So wonderful that it’s been revived, Carol! And what a story behind it as well. I’ll bet the food was delicious?
